Final Goodbye to ISY994 Series

June 1st is upon us and sadly it’s now time to say our final goodbyes to our beloved ISY994 Series. It will be missed dearly.

What Models Are Affected?

With the exception of existing SLAs for ISY 994r, ISY 994 PRO OADR, and OEMs all other models are affected.

What Does It Mean for Me?

Starting 06/01/2023:

  • Free technical support will cease for any issues relating to ISY994 Series. Paid support will remain available till 06/01/2024.
  • You can no longer add modules to your existing ISY994s. 
  • All requests for transfer from one 994 to another 994 will require a $125 transfer fee. 

What Are My Options?

  • Please note that if you want to use your existing Serial PLM (2413S), you will also need our Serial PLM Kit (or you can make it yourself using the part numbers and pinout in the same link).

eisy | home is our 7th generation home automation controller and energy management system. How Easy Is It to Setup?

  • Plug in the power cord to your eisy
  • If you have a WIFI network, nothing else is necessary. If you prefer using a wired connection, plug in an Ethernet cable to the network port on eisy. Ensure that your network is DHCP enabled

GeoFence: Let Your Home Know Where You Are!

Did you ever want to turn on your A/C when you are getting close to home, automatically arm the security system and have a random lived-in look when away? Well, you can now do all that and much more with UD Mobile’s new GeoFencing feature! 

Use UD Mobile to easily create different GeoFences – regions within the map – and then assign Enter and Exit commands for each. The commands could be as simple as turning on/off a device or changing thermostat set points, or you can make them as complex as you want by running a program.

Insteon i3 Product Support

eisy makes it easy to add insteon i3 products.

eisy (or Polisy) version 5.5.9 now has initial support for i3 products: 4-Button Keypad, Dual Outlet, Dial, and Paddle.

What is initial support?

Although support is almost complete, but due to lack of documentation, the following is not yet working:

  1. i3 paddle status changes are not communicated to IoX
  2. Some options are not settable

We are working with insteon.com on getting these minor issues resolved ASAP.

What do I need?

If you already have an eisy or Polisy with a PLM attached, simply upgrade your unit to 5.5.9. Here are the instructions.

If you have a 994, you need:

  1. eisy 
  2. Serial PLM Kit – this allows you to connect your PLM to eisy

Migration from 994 to eisy is really easy! Here are the instructions.

Thanks to you for its enormous success, and after 14 years of rock-solid operations and performance, sadly we must say goodbye to our beloved ISY994i Series.

What Models Are Affected?

With the exception of ISY 994r, ISY 994 PRO OADR, and OEMs all other models are affected.

What Does It Mean for Me?

As long as your unit works, nothing! Otherwise:

  • We no longer carry any spare parts and/or replacements.
  • Starting 06/01/2023:
    • You can no longer add modules to your existing 994s. 
    • All requests for transfer from one 994 to another 994 will require a $125 transfer fee. 
    • Free technical support will cease for any issues relating to 994i Series. Paid support will remain available till 06/01/2024.
